Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Oslo Fun Club processes your personal data when you use OFC Events (ofcevents.no and app.ofcevents.no). We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven).

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Oslo Fun Club, a non-profit association (forening) registered in the Norwegian Register of Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret) with organisation number 936 627 838. For any question about your data, contact us at komyak27@gmail.com.

What data we collect

Account data: your name, email address and city. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash — we never see or store it in plain text.
Organiser applications: organisation name, contact name, email, and optionally phone number, website and a description of your events.
Activity data: events you save to favourites, free events you register for (your ticket in the wallet, including any message you send the organiser), and in-app notifications.
Uploaded files: images you upload, such as event covers, report photos and your profile picture.
Analytics data (public landing only): on ofcevents.no we use Google Analytics 4 cookies and usage data — but only after you accept in the cookie banner. The service app.ofcevents.no has no analytics.
Technical data: server logs including your IP address and basic request information, kept short-term to operate and secure the service.

Why we use your data and our legal basis

To run your account and provide the service — legal basis: performance of our agreement with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
To register you for free events, manage capacity and waitlists, and send confirmations, reminders and event updates — performance of our agreement (Art. 6(1)(b)).
To review organiser applications and let you publish events — performance of an agreement and our legitimate interest in running a curated catalogue (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (rate-limiting, logs) — our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Analytics on the landing page — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (data processors) needed to run OFC Events:

Hosting: our server (VPS), where the database and application run.
Email delivery: Resend, to send transactional emails such as confirmations, event reminders and password resets.
Analytics: Google (Google Analytics 4) — only on the landing page, and only after you consent. Google may process data outside the EEA under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Telegram: if you subscribe to our announcements bot, Telegram processes your chat ID to deliver messages.

There are no payments on OFC Events — tickets for paid events are booked on the organiser's own website. We therefore do not collect, store or process any card or payment data.

How long we keep your data

Account and organiser data — for as long as your account exists.
In-app notifications — about 30 days.
Server logs — short-term, for security and operation.
Analytics data — according to Google's retention settings.
When you delete your account, we remove your personal data and release any event seats you held.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Rectify data that is wrong or incomplete.
Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

You can delete your account yourself in your profile settings, or exercise any of these rights by contacting us at komyak27@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

Right to complain

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).

Cookies and analytics

The service app.ofcevents.no uses only essential cookies needed to keep you logged in. The public landing ofcevents.no loads Google Analytics 4 cookies only after you accept them. For details and how to refuse, see our Cookie Policy.

Consent

When you create an account or apply as an organiser, you consent to Oslo Fun Club processing your personal data — your name, email, city and the activity data described above — for the purpose of providing the OFC Events service, including collection, storage, use, display to you, and deletion. You can withdraw this consent at any time by deleting your account or contacting us; this does not affect processing already carried out, or processing we are required to keep for legal or security reasons.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version; significant changes will be highlighted in the service.
